We started at a farmer's market, feeding our family and friends, and so we naturally chose ingredients that we would proudly serve to the people we love the most. Until today, we focus on using natural, minimally processed ingredients as much as possible.

Why We Use Coconut Nectar

When we looked for an alternative to refined white sugar, we wanted something that wasn’t just trendy, but truly rooted in regional food culture. That’s why we chose coconut nectar for our ice cream range.

Coconut nectar has been used for generations in South and Southeast Asian kitchens. Unlike many modern sugar substitutes, this is an ingredient with a long history of traditional use, with no known adverse effects on health and gut health. It’s something we feel confident eating and serving to our own children.

Like many people of Asian descent, our co-founder Andrew is lactose-intolerant. So we created a range of dairy alternative ice cream options made with coconut milk, and other non-dairy bases that taste as good as the "real thing".

These options are free from lactose and animal products, but still creamy, smooth, and rich in flavour. We don’t just want to check the box on "plant-based". We want to create ice cream that everyone can enjoy, whether for dietary reasons or personal preference.
